Been watching a world try to bounce back from a global pandemic just for this side of the pond to get thrust into another very old school breed of chaos. I’ve spent most of the week watching the situation develop as it went from atrocity to yet another failure in the justice system, to protests, to riots, to an over 200 year old act get pulled out to justify the use of military forces to stop something that could have been stopped had the system done the smart thing, the right thing in the first place.

I’m not black…..I’m not 100% white either, I have a good fraction of Cherokee nation heritage in me, so I am one of those whose ancestors knew full well the pitfalls of discrimination and in many ways still do. I’m not going to write this from the perspective of such a person because, for all of the screaming about empathy the reality is that no one can know what another person goes through, and even when they do, there is no way of knowing what it does to another. That’s a very personal thing and I think most people understand that. I’m not going to write this from the typical celebrity or “Leftist” viewpoint of self-loathing over something that not a single born in this world had a choice in the matter of, so this sentence is going to be the only time you see the term white privilege in this entire article. What I’m going to do is paint a picture of why we need to overcome this type of stupidity and just how it affects everyone. The latter being for those who want to think it doesn’t have a single damn thing to do with them…. It does. I’m also going to show why even though race is the predominant factor in the foreground of this entire situation, the rabbit hole goes a lot deeper than just race.

Let’s start by stating the obvious. Anybody who lacks the mental capacity and restraint that would otherwise allow them to not have a position of power and feel they have the right to abuse it does not need that position of power….Period. I think we can all agree on that. Secondly, use of force by police is the 6th leading cause of death in young black me These numbers come directly from a study done by PNAS or The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States.

Despite this fact, 99% of those instances fail to get convictions on those deaths caused by the use of force by police. Now while there is an argument that force is necessary in many cases and I don’t think anyone can dispute that, there are many instances where it is very blatantly and pointlessly excessive and unjustified. Yet these instances often fall into the same wheelhouse legally and that can only be attributed to a failure in the system. Do I believe race is a cause of this violence, I do. Is it the cause in the failure of the system? Partially, but I believe if we are serious about bringing this to an end we need to examine all the factors that go into it as well. Out of touch leadership, the dark side of our precious virtue of loyalty. Image is everything in our culture and so there is much we sweep under the rug and hope everyone forgets about in order to protect that all-important image Aka. Simple, Good Old Fashioned, Beuracratic Bullshit that only means anything to the people who are egotistical enough to believe it has any genuine merit or value.

What happens when you have a symbol like a badge that is supposed to stand for something and then you allow people to carry that symbol who act in a completely different manner than intended it damages the symbol. When you blanket protect such people under that same symbol as those who actually do honor it’s meaning, you not only eliminate the meaning of the symbol in the first place you endanger the lives of those who actually stand for what it means. You tarnish the institution of the law and that is something that LEADERS, at least any who are worth the votes gave them do not do. And I get I will anger a few with this statement but I don’t care, it needs to be said. Real leaders don’t hide in bunkers and make antagonistic statements while their people are in crisis, a double crisis for that matter. A real leader might see what the actual cause of the issue was in the first place and wave that little pen around cutting funding to certain areas if they can’t live uphold the honor of those symbols. When you see a cop you are supposed to know that you are looking at someone who is there to protect and serve and we are can’t really do that can we, because we can never be sure and no one we put in an office cares to hold them to it enough to let us be sure.

I think it’s important to note that even if you aren’t black and your message isn’t stop killing us, it’s still up to us to carry the message of do your damn job and do it right or get out. Too many people in positions of power lash out in shame or cave to the useless protocol not because they are important people with important jobs, but because they are self-important and care little for what their job entails. In any case, ALL OF IT NEEDS TO STOP.

I could go for hours, give you countless examples of how this is a problem for all of us, It’s out there. I don’t need to repeat it. I just need to do something about it and so do the rest of us. Civil War 2 is NOT an option for the United States, having American military in a position to kill American citizens on American soil by ORDER, is NOT an option for the United States, that’s what China would’ve done 40 years ago. No REAL LEADER turns to that rather than display actual leadership ability. Provided below are links that will help you get involved.
